By Nicolas Evzonas
English

This article explores the psychoanalytic biases towards trans subjectivities. First, the author focuses on the socio-cultural infiltration of metapsychological concepts, showing how doxa contaminates scientific neutrality. Then, he posits a general gender trauma and a universal gender uncertainty. In this perspective, the idealization of fixed and immutable, coherent and authentic identity is understood as a defense against the primitive anxieties of intrusion and engulfment by the other.
