The paradigm of psychotic suppletions

The notion of “supplementation” (suppléance) as a subjective solution to psychosis is a paradigm opening up an area of possible research of the contemporary forms of such supplementations. In this way, psychoanalysis can cast new light on the therapeutic and clinical work with the psychoses, namely on the non-deterministic psychic causality of psychosis.
