The body and the feminine within the contemporary art

This article presents the body and the feminine as “at the edge” places where we can do work, such as building a subjectivity, considering the route suggested by the artworks of two contemporary artists that deal with these themes – Nazareth Pacheco and Cindy Sherman – proposing a link between the artwork, the economy of the gaze, fetishism, feminine and sublimation that allows the psychoanalyst to work on deconstructing places intended to the body and the feminine within a phallic logic and to put them in tension due to the questions brought by the artists works.
