This article focuses on the effect of transmission emanating from the tension between Freudianism and its dissidents. The author proposes an axis around which the different deviations from Freudianism will be articulated, thereby enabling us to underscore their relations with, and dynamic vis-à-vis, the Freudian text. Having organised the topography of the epistemological field, through these acts of dissidence a method emerges that sketches out the edges of the Freudian Thing.
