Can One Speak of a Perverse Social Bond?
By Christian Hoffmann
English
The Lacanian definition of perversion as a saturation of the lack in the Other by means of the drive object is incompatible with the neo-liberal philosophy of the social bond and its definition of an autonomous subject who recognizes the Other as a locus of otherness in a social bond woven by the commodification of the body and its forms of jouissance.
