Creative Workshops: a Treatment Methodology in the Psychoanalytic Clinic of Autistic Children
This article presents the work carried out with autistic children in creative workshops as a treatment methodology from the psychoanalytic clinic. The creative workshops with autistic children in groups are the continuity of previous research, carried out in 2019, based on the insertion of technological objects in the clinic with autistic children. The bibliographic review as a research method guided our work associated with theoretical studies of psychoanalysis and the educational field. We started by presenting that the work in workshops with autistic children was developed in the educational field, being, still, an incipient practice in the clinic. The potentialities presented in the workshops in the field of education and research, which demonstrated the importance of mediation of technological objects in the clinic with autistic children, were motivators to think about this clinical work in groups. Throughout the work, we observed that group workshops allow autistic children greater social interaction, an expansion of their topics of interest as well as a possible shift from concrete objects to the virtual. We note the therapeutic value of this work, which, although incipient, brings potential. Thus, we bet on the construction of therapeutic workshops as a possible methodological resource for psychoanalytic clinical work with autistic children.
